DOYLESTOWN, PA — The 30th annual Doylestown Health Foundation Golf Classic raised more than $114,000 for Doylestown Health and its Teen Volunteer Scholarship Program, the foundation announced Thursday. The event was held Monday at the Jericho National Golf Club in New Hope. Created in 1991, the event has raised more than $1.5 million in support of several services and programs at Doylestown Health, including the Cancer Institute, critical care, the Emergency Department, MRI services, the Wound Care Center, and the VIA Maternity Center. This year's lead supporters were Title Sponsor Burns Mechanical, Event Sponsors John S. McManus Inc. and The Norwood Company, and Driving Range Sponsor SEI Investments Company. "Our generosity is inspired by gratitude for the longtime partnership that we've shared," says Dan Kerr, President at Burns Mechanical. "I think we're like-minded and naturally inclined to value each other: Doylestown Health places great value on being independent thinkers and high achievers, and on providing an exceptionally high standard of care." Burns Mechanical has sponsored the event for over 20 years, donating more than $144,000 in total. "We are so grateful for everyone who has supported the Golf Classic over its long history," says Jim Brexler, President and Chief Executive Officer, Doylestown Health. "Their partnership has generated not only significant funding for many signature projects and services of our health system but has also fostered valued relationships between Doylestown Health and the businesses, vendors, and supporters who are so important to our success." In total, the event was sponsored by 43 businesses and individual donors, plus nearly 20 additional contributors who donated auction items, prizes, and giveaways. Doylestown Health Foundation plans to hold the 31st Annual Golf Classic on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Jericho National Golf Club. Be the first to know what's happening in your town and area.
