Hiring Apartment Maintenance Workers! Established San Diego based multifamily home developer and management company is currently seeking Apartment Maintenance Technicians to join our portfolio! Our Maintenance Techs are responsible for indoor and outdoor repairs in our communities including the turnover of vacant apartments for new residents. Job Description Our Maintenance Technicians are the key to the success of our properties. Duties of the Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to electrical, plumbing, soldering/braising, diagnosing, and repairing of appliances, drywall/patching/texturing, painting, locks and re-keying, some carpentry, ceramic tile, occasional vinyl flooring installation and repair. In addition to these duties, you will also be responsible for turning apartments and assisting in projects as needed. What Will You Be Doing? • General apartment maintenance including, but not limited to: • Electrical - relay switches, fan motors, run capacitors and conversions • Plumbing - slab leaks, angle stop replacements, water heater replacements, faucets • Drywall - patching and texturing • Locks & Rekeying • Appliance - troubleshooting & repairing dishwashers, refrigerators, garbage disposals, washers/dryers • Apartment Turns • Broken water pipe or other flooding • Repair any issue that affects the safety of the resident or property Responsibilities: • Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion • Estimate time and extent of repairs • Perform routine preventive maintenance • Maintain material and supply inventory • Immediately report work that cannot be performed by onsite personnel • Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED • Current Driver's License • Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment • Ability to handle physical workload • Deadline and detail-oriented • EPA Certification highly desired • Experience in construction/handyman services and/or maintenance/contractor experience • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel • Must be able to safely climb a ladder • Must be able to work as a team to ensure customer satisfaction • Must be both personable and professional • Must be able to observe all company procedures and safety rules • Experience in apartment communities highly favored What Are We Looking For? • Apartment, residential or hotel maintenance experience • HVAC Certification preferred but not required • Must be able and willing to work one weekend day • Must be available for an on-call rotation For immediate consideration, apply today!
