We are seeking a highly organized Floral Merchandising Supervisor to oversee our company's driver merchandiser program of fresh flowers at our existing chain store accounts in the greater Southern California area (San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles). Job Description/Responsibilities: • Supervise deliveries and merchandising of our products at chain stores/retailers. • Work directly with driver-merchandisers and provide training on how to rotate product & fill out inventory sheets. • Maintain & provide training of flower knowledge, quality of product in the stores, merchandising, proper cooler operation, basic cooler maintenance & proper cleaning procedures of coolers. • Hire, train & lead driver-merchandisers. • Supervise driver-merchandiser efficiency, conduct timely performance appraisals, necessary disciplinary actions, write ups and terminations of as necessary. • Create & maintain positive relationships with store managers & customers. Requirements: • Excellent customer service and people skills. • Able to maintain a flexible schedule. • Physically able to push/pull/lift to 50 lbs. on an ongoing basis. • Comfortable bending, stooping, and lifting products above your shoulders. • Ability to stand and walk on an ongoing basis throughout the shift. • 3+ years’ experience in merchandising, customer service, sales, supply chain management, or similar. • Able to think out of the box and provide feedback for process improvement. • Prior experience in floral & plant industry or perishables a plus. • Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • Must work well under pressure. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to effectively adapt & operate in a changing environment. • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Self-motivated, energetic, and dedicated to timelines and good attendance. • Valid CA driver’s license. • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish (read, write, speak) preferred. • Must be willing to work weekends and extended hours at Floral holidays, i.e., Valentine’s Day & Mother’s Day, etc. Pay & Benefits: • Competitive Pay commensurate with experience • Benefits: Health insurance, paid holidays, vacation pay, Retirement (Simple-IRA), company cell phone, company laptop.
