The housing meltdown and economic collapse under Bush (Republican) forced the deficit to skyrocket. Obama brought the federal budget down every year he was in office after the first year covering the bank bailouts from Bush. The disastrous mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic under Trump caused the massive increase that will take Biden years to bring back down. The Republicans always blame circumstances and outside events for their disastrous administrations. CIRCUMSTANCES AND OUTSIDE EVENTS IS WHAT THE PRESIDENT IS ELECTED TO HANDLE! THAT IS THE JOB!
