Description
Orion is a young male veiled chameleon that was surrendered to BeWild with severe MBD, he was unable to even walk. The last photo is his intake photo. Luckily, he responded very well to treatment and is now eating and climbing like a normal chameleon. Despite his amazing recovery, he does have permanent deformities from the MBD. Most chameleons do not enjoy being handled, and Orion is a shining example of this. He is a big handsome chameleon and will climb into his feeding cup to eat if you let him, but he is NOT a big fan of humans and is an adorably grumpy fellow. He has a big personality though and will keep you laughing with his antics! His adoption fee is $50.
Chameleons are considered an advanced species because any small husbandry issue can have big consequences for them. We are looking to find him a home that is experienced with reptiles, preferably with chameleons. Please research their care requirements before applying, there is a detailed care guide on our website.
PLEASE READ!
