Description
I work with a high school in Mapleton Public Schools and we recently acquired a drum kit that requires some of the heads to be replaced etc. The drum kit will be for a high school music class!
I was hoping to find a drummer who needs a little extra cash to help get this drum kit playable. I will definitely pay for any of the materials needed (shouldn't be much) and can certainly throw some cash your way for your time. It's coming out of my pocket so if you're a highly experienced drum tech with high rates then I probably won't be able to pay you what you charge.
All the toms and the snare currently have (well-worn) heads and I may just leave those to save cost as they seem playable as-is. Maybe just get them tuned up.
The kit actually came with 2 different bass drums but with no head and I believe all the hoops and hardware to get a new head on.
There's a tub full of stands/hardware; I see a kick pedal, a double kick pedal, and at least 2 hi hat stands. I would need you to help get these in working order. They appear to be in good shape but will need your expertise.
I'm not seeing much in the cymbal department so I will probably buy a set myself. I will wait till you finish assembling the kit to see what I need.
Email me if you're interested. It's a Peavey International Series drum kit in good shape (no cracks or anything). From what I'm seeing it's possible it could be a quick job just getting a new bass head on, tuning the existing tom and snare heads, and getting hihat and kick pedal set up. Thanks!
