Laurel Parc, a beautiful and upscale senior living community seeks an efficient Maintenance Assistant to be responsible for performing apartment repairs and general upkeep. This position is also responsible for other maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, electrical and appliance repair. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent service to our residents. Responsibilities Provides routine and preventative maintenance within the acceptable standards of practice. Completes work orders and maintains maintenance work shop and storage rooms. Repairs vacant apartment units and returns them to ‘like new’ condition to facilitate and expedite timely move-ins of new residents. Other Job Duties Assures common areas and resident rooms are clean and not in need of repairs. Assures fixtures in the facility are maintained by replacing burnt out bulbs or providing other service as necessary. Repairs wood trim, cleans carpets and removes all stains. Moves furniture as needed for events. Maintains a flexible demeanor with the ability to change gears easily. Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
