Anyone wanna start a punk band

Hey does anyone wanna start a punk band here in Gainesville? I’m a 18 year old college student and it’s been kinda hard finding other musicians to fit in with, so I’m calling out to any other young folks to see if we get something going and hopefully get enough practice and songs down to start gigging. Preferably some younger people, boys or girls, because I feel like we have a tougher time settling into the scene, and I want this to be a safe haven for that. I’m into bands like Joy Division, the Cure, the Beatles, but also some straight up punk bands like the Clash from the UK and Weezer over here in the States. I’m also a massive Oasis and Red Hot Chili Peppers fan and I’ve always had a soft spot for soft rock. I play guitar and bass, so I can fit either role. If you play bass that’d be great but if you’re a guitarist then I have no problem playing bass (bass is fun!). We could also get two guitarists if we’re lucky yaknow. And if you’re a drummer, bless your soul because you guys are a rarity. We’re gonna need a drummer. I don’t want to sing because I drink lots of coffee and my voice chords usually feel like sandpaper, so I’d appreciate a dedicated vocalist. Nothing special, if you got a working voice and the spirit, that’s enough imo! If you’re into different genres that’s great too. This doesn’t have to be a PUNK band. I just call it a punk because of how DIY I expect it to be. I love working with musicians like that, let’s see what kind of sound we come up with. If you got some songs you’d want us to cover, bring them on in. Maybe we can even write our own stuff. And at the end of the day, if all we do is jam and have fun, that’s fine as well. I’m really laidback with the future of this band.
