Description
We have a 4 month old male Newfoundland and Husky Mix. He's really cute, and we've had him since he was 6 weeks. He's had all recommended VET care, vaccines, worming and flea/tick/heartworm preventation meds and a clean bill of health and has been to a few training sessions. He's going to be VERY LARGE. He will be neutered 6/10/21. We mistakenly thought our older dog would like a playmate and it just hasn't taken. The puppy jumps on him and tries to hump him and the old boy is so passive that he just lets him do it and he's miserable. We strongly feel that it is the issue of the older dog, and that if brought into a family with another dog that will put him in his place.....he'd just be the perfect pup. He does really well when alone and might be best off as the only dog.....it just depends on the dog I guess. He is NOT aggressive. He just wants to play. He's mild mannered with humans and I'm sure will be with other dogs if given appropriate socialization opportunities. The vet thinks neutering him now will help him in his socialization with other dogs. He is not needy.....and perfectly satisfied to be alone in the house or outdoors.
If I could figure out how to put photos on here I would have, but I can text photos. Please text me or send your number to the CL e-mail address and I'll send them to you. Our goal is to find him a family where he is appreciated for all his awesomeness so the re-homing fee can be somewhat flexible.
