Private family in Hanover, NH is seeking one or two trusted and reliable individuals to oversee the care of their home. The job requires at least two cleanings and checking-ins per week. Ideal candidate should live within 20 minutes of Hanover. Candidate should have basic, general housekeeping skills, and be able to handle small projects and identify appropriate skilled tradespersons to handle more complicated repairs when necessary. The residence is a new home so hours may adjust as the family settles into new location. Duties will include: • Ensure to freshen up the home prior to the family or other guests coming to the property and then tidying up after they leave. Typically, the family welcomes guests at least one visit per month in addition to two weeks or so in December. This role will require weekly or bi-weekly visits when the family is staying in the home for extended periods of time, such as in the summer months. • Laundering dirty linens and towels • Making beds and folding laundry • Cleaning bathrooms • Removing trash • Checking that all appliances are in working order • Overall household dusting and polishing, and removing marks from walls and furnishings • Vacuuming rugs and performing floor care duties • Reporting any maintenance problems or safety hazards to property caretaker • Communicating clearly and reliably Other role requirements: This is a very large home which will require the candidate to be on their feet for hours at a time. The person in this position needs to frequently move from one room to another and walk up/down a flight of stairs. Attention to detail is a requirement.
