Job Description K-9 Smiles non anesthetic dental cleaning (www.k-9smiles.com) in Broomfield, CO has an opening for a veterinary dental technician trainee. K-9 Smiles has been offering awake dental appointments for over 10 years with over 50,000 dogs and cats teeth cleaned. We offer our services in over 100 locations in the Denver metro area and up and down Colorado’s Front Range. We have clinics seven days a week. Must work weekends!! Our passionate and skilled team helps educate and inspire canine and feline dental health. We strive for excellence in our work and our customer service. Who are we looking for? Applicants need a strong work ethic, a positive personality, be capable of communicating with the public, be able to multi-task, must be able to work well within the team. Two years of prior animal experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. Must be well organized and able to be on time for your job assignments. Requirements & Responsibilities: You will go through a three to six month training period where you will learn Anatomy, physiology, tooth disease, hand scaling, charting cleaning and sterilizing equipment. You will work under the direct supervision of one of our veterinarians and veterinary supervisors when you work. High school or equivalent Good reliable transportation- you have to drive to all the different locations. We have clinics 7 days a week. Compensation: 15.50 per hour to start increases based on your improvement Part time schedule will vary Clinics start at either 9 or 10 AM Incentive for gas based on miles driven Please send your resume and a cover letter on why you would be the perfect candidate for this position.
