THE POSITION The Cleaning Guys - CG Environmental is looking for full-time Haz-Mat Clean-Up Technicians in the Dallas/Ft Worth and surrounding area. As a Technician, you will work with a variety of equipment, including our patented “Annihilator,” to help protect and clean the environment as well as solve your customers’ environmental and waste problems. Typical responsibilities are as follows: 1. Respond to Non & Hazardous Material/Hazardous Waste spills and cleanup with flexibility to work non-standard hours when needed for rotation and emergency response 2. Prepare job sites for hazardous materials removal and disposal 3. Run various pieces of machinery/equipment in performing a variety of environmental and industrial cleaning services. 4. Ability to use monitors to verify a clean environment after removal or to assess conditions. 5. Collection, packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste 6. Transport hazardous materials and waste to disposal sites 7. Demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe behaviors 8. Keep required records of work performed This is an hourly position with a 90-day probationary period. Upon completion of probation, company benefits include personal leave and holiday pay, paid life/health insurance for employee and 401K participation. Pre-employment and random drug screenings are required. Safety training will be provided. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • Strong work ethic • Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing • Ability to work within a team or independently as required • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record, and with the ability to drive a box truck • Ability to lift at least 35 pounds • Flexibility to work non-standard hours • Medically qualified to wear a respirator and able to obtain a satisfactory respirator fit test • Able to work in extreme conditions (i.e. heat, cold) • 40 hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred (training can be provided) • 10 hour OSHA training preferred (training can be provided) • Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred (training can be provided) • Confined space entry (CSE) training preferred (can be provided) • High School graduate and/or GED preferred
