Description

Primary Function: Make product available to order fillers by using replenishment sheet for product moves. Move product from receiving area to proper locations. Perform all aspects of warehouse product care including receiving, storage, disposal, and distribution. Duties and Responsibilities: Follow established procedure to move product from the receiving areas to racking area and assist in efficient product flow. Move product from the freezer, cooler and dry storage area to the agency selecting area and assist staff and volunteers in making product ready for distribution. Use equipment to move product throughout the warehouse. Read pick lists and other applicable documents to fill orders and verify orders filled by other staff. Assist drivers with receiving and loading out. Transport product from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas in the warehouse. Process frozen, dry and refrigerated product orders with special emphasis on produce orders. Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated areas. Mark product with identifying information. Weigh or count product for distribution. Transport orders to pick up dock or delivery staging area. Provide excellent customer service to agencies and other customers. Safely operate all material handling equipment. Maintain accurate records. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and with inventory count activities. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility. Other duties as assigned by management. Experience: • Proficient in the use of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, reach truck, forklift (including certification), and other standard warehouse equipment • One-year related warehouse operations experience and/or training Requirements: • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) • Attention to detail • Able to lift and move 40 pounds • Valid driver’s license • Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer space for extended periods of time   Special Requirements: 1. Willingness and ability to learn sanitary food storage and handling guidelines and practices (at Foodbank cost). 2.
