A series of free-with-registration, limited attendance kids' concerts, outdoors @ the Boulder Bandshell. Science & nature-themed music/skits Meadow Music Season 17 will look a little different than years past. As always, our shows will be science and nature-focused with quick costume changes and loads of audience participation. And as always our summer series is free and open to the public thanks to the generosity of our beloved City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Department. What to expect this year? *Limited attendance - We'll open registration a week or two in advance for each of our 5-6 free, summer shows. Max 5 people/reservation. *If you can't attend please cancel your reservation to make sure that your spot can be made available to our waiting list. Alternatively you can email [email protected]. *Gates open @ 9:30am and close at 11:30am. Might we recommend bringing a picnic and enjoying it in the park post-show? *Bike if possible! Nearest parking garage is on Walnut and 14th. *Feel free to bring an umbrella and/or spray bottle if the weather looks warm. Seating is mostly in full sun though we'll put up as many pop-ups as possible if weather is looking toasty (see image below). *You'll simply give your name at the gate. No need to print your registration confirmation or show us your e-reservation. *Concert will last 1 hr. and includes original science and nature-based kids' music, educational skits, quick costume changes and loads of audience interaction/participation. *COVID comfort levels, distancing, masking, etc. are up to each individual family. There is space so take space if you need it. Kids are welcome to come up to the front and dance with grown up permission. The infrastructure and use of the venue for this event is provided free of charge by the City of Boulder's Arts in the Park series. Boulder’s Arts in the Park provides arts and cultural performances at the Glen Huntington Bandshell in Boulder’s Civic Area. The program runs from May to September. Presented by the City of Boulder and sponsored by the PLAY Boulder Foundation, the Boulder Library Foundation, and the Downtown Boulder Partnership. Through their live shows and six different albums Jeff and Paige have reached thousands of children with their joyful spirit of play and passion for ecological awareness. They have won several awards for their music and musical programming: 2019, 2016 and 2013 Parent's Choice Awards, 2019 and 2016 National Parent Products Award (NAPPA) Awards, 2014 Creative Child Magazine CD of the Year Award, and the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education Award (CAEE) for excellence in programming.
