A choose your own experience and promenade performance following two mythical characters on their journey: Atlas & Persephone LEVYdance, in partnership with Ebb & Flow presents RIFT, an immersive and interactive odyssey of dance through the streets of Hayes Valley culminating with a dance and wine pairing at Ebb&Flow.RIFT is the story of “Persephone” and “Atlas.", and a piece about connection and longing. Condemned to lives of punishment, they meet in a world of myth and fantasy, recast in a contemporary context of extreme environmental flux and framed within the illusory realms of cyberculture: a creative estuary where the physical and digital meet. Audiences will choose how the story ends and their own reward: survival or extinction. Created in collaboration with 8 choreographers and composers from around the world, this show is made out of 5 culturally and aesthetically diverse 15-20 minute sections. The performance will take you from outdoor spaces to indoor sets over the course of the evening. Your choices will affect what happens next, how you will experience the dance, and culminate with an artist talk and wine pairing. The dance performance itself lasts 1 hour 15 minute. We recommend you allow a minimum of 2 hours to enjoy the full experience. Acclaimed European creative director Garance Marneur now leads the company, maintaining its artistic excellence while inviting a wider array of artistic voices and creative partners into groundbreaking collaborations. Known for her large-scale stage designs and innovative concepts, Marneur shifted the company towards a multidisciplinary approach. She integrates Dance, Theatre and Design with cutting-edge technology to create deeply engaging performance experiences.
