Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician maintains efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds in a supportive role. Facilitates turn of apartments for new residents through make ready or capital renovations. Reports to: Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager, and Maintenance Supervisor Supervises: None Wage Status: Hourly Job Responsibilities: Repair and Maintenance Responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of the property. Takes direction from Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager to ensure all work orders are completed to a high degree of quality and timeliness Responsible to be available to work on an on-call basis for after hour emergencies. Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company. Responsible for the supply and upkeep of all personal tools required by the company. Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents. Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and insuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment. Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times. Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times. Responsible for thorough knowledge of management company policies and property community policies. Make Ready’s Responsible for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy. Assist subcontractors in the capital renovations as needed Perform all make ready duties in a manner that ensures the highest quality product and timeliness for our future tenants. Perform punch list walk through with Property Manager prior to turning over to a new tenant Complete all punch list items noted by tenant during their Move In walk through. Site, Grounds, and Common Areas Responsible to maintain the grounds and assist the groundskeeper as needed. Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all common areas Responsible for snow removal activities. Responsible for securing the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every work day. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
