A tasting of Buzzard's Roost whiskey with Jason Brauner, at Bourbon's Bistro. Jason Brauner is the owner of Bourbon's Bistro and the Master Blender of Buzzard's Roost Sippin' Whiskeys. Jason founded Bourbon's Bistro 15 years ago (long before bourbon was cool) and his love of bourbon has lead him down some interesting roads, but it ultimately had to end up here, developing his own line of premium whiskeys. The Brotherhood hosted one of our first events at Bourbon's Bistro back in 2014 and we're excited to be returning in 2021. Named One Of the Best Whiskeys Of 2020 by Paste Magazine, Buzzard's Roost strives to deliver exceptional whiskeys that can be enjoyed at any occasion. Their innovative approach to maturation gives them the ability to bring you a different whiskey experience with every release. They're proud to have received Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for their Single Barrel Rye and their Barrel Strength Rye, and Double Gold for their Toasted Barrel Rye. Buzzard's Roost starts by sourcing the best aged whiskey they can find, but the real magic is in their second barreling. They use only brand new, 53-gallon white oak barrels that are carefully toasted and very lightly charred. Each one is designed from the ground up to deliver a specific flavor profile. We had originally planned to hold the event outdoors, but the cicada swarms have made that a problem, so we'll be gathering in the upstairs event space instead. Ticket price includes whiskey tasting, light appetizers and of course awesome door prizes. If you'd like to stay for dinner, Bourbon's Bistro is offering a 10% discount.
