Home to a collection of independent businesses for over 15 years, KAC is always inclusive and always open-minded. The space is open and available to lease. Ørkenoy is a creative enclave located in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, operating as a brewery, kitchen and synergetic haunt for local artists. Driven by “unchartered inspiration,” the hybrid venue, anchored within the Kimball Arts Center, is infused with Nordic influences and an eclectic, welcoming ambiance (AIR) Claire Ashley is a Scottish-born, Chicago-based artist. Ashley mines the language of painterly abstraction, monumental sculpture, slapstick humor, and Pop Art to transform ordinary materials into inflatable painted sculptures. Ashley’s work investigates inflatables as painting, sculpture, installation, and performance costume. These works have been exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries, museums, and site-specific installations, performances and collaborations. @clairehelenashley | clairehelenashley.com (Muralist) Emmy Star Brown’s use of clean lines, thoughtfully structured shapes, unique layering techniques, and vibrant colors gives her universal appeal and has firmly established her as a leading force in the art scene. Her large-scale lettering can range from uplifting messages that breed inclusivity and positivity, to branding projects that are playful and personalized. Alternatively, her abstract work features fresh palettes and organic additions designed to encourage engagement. The result, always a bold visual statement designed to drive wonder and remind the viewer that there’s beauty in reading between the lines. @emmystarbrown | emmystarbrown.com
