A DAY IN THE LIFE OF GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE EXOTICS TECH As a Golf Course Maintenance Exotics Tech, you will have the responsibility of performing all tasks associated with the removal of invasive exotic plant species, in a safe and detail-oriented manner. You will be removing all invasive exotic plant species from golf course landscaping beds, perimeters, lake banks, and designated wetlands. You will be operating two cycle hand tools including, but not limited to; string trimmers, chain saws, pole saws, and hedge trimmers. Responsible for the operation of tractor-drawn equipment including but not limited to; front-end loaders, tractor-drawn sprayers, and bush hog mowers. At times, you will assist in Clubhouse grounds maintenance duties. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE EXOTICS TECH Mechanical experience helpful, but not required Must be able to learn to identify plants considered invasive exotics. Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. Ability to work for long periods of time walking, standing, or stooping. Flexible schedule. Ability to work weekends and holidays.
