Description
Join Leah Webb for a hands-on workshop at Bright Futures Farm and Learning Center. You'll leave with all of your fall and winter plants! This three-hour hands-on workshop combines Fall and Winter Gardening ($45 value) with Seed Starting 101 ($100 value). I'll demonstrate my tried and true techniques that keep me harvesting year round while showing you how to get your seedlings started for the fall. You'll leave this workshop with the knowledge and all the plants you'll need to successfully grow your fall and winter gardens. Late season starts are the hardest seedlings to source and are therefore some of the most valuable to grow on your own. However, these cold hardy seedlings need to sprout when temperatures are still high. I'll show you how to time your fall starts so that they mature well before a killing freeze. You'll also learn about an array of unique edible plants that are suited for winter harvests in our climate. Lastly, I'll discuss techniques to push your spring harvests even earlier by establishing some of your spring garden in the fall. Workshop includes: 32 potted plants in 2.5" reusable pots 50-cell reusable tray full of seeds1020 extra strength reusable tray full of seeds 3-hours of instruction Recommendations on sourcing equipment and seeds*Note: all of the pots and trays are made of a thick plastic that holds up for many, many years. You can view the items I'll be purchasing at Bootstrap Farmer. I've used their products for over three years and have yet to replace a single item. You'll be choosing from the following list of plants when planting your seeds: CabbageNapa cabbageKales and CollardsLettucesChickoryCressCalendulaMizunaChardPak ChoyMustardsBroccoliCauliflowerA few additional plants will be available for purchase including multi-sown leeks and beets, and a few summer foods that can be planted one last time.
