Description
TEWKSBURY, MA — Free mosquito treatment is available for abandoned swimming pools, the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project said in a memo recently shared by the town of Tewksbury.
The treatments are available at no cost to the town or resident. Pools can later be used if the resident wants them to be.
Only one treatment per year is needed to reduce the hatch of all mosquito species, some of which carry disease. Abandoned pools can quickly become a good habitat for larval mosquitos.
Residents can contact the project at 508-393-3055 or on their website. Information on the specific products used can also be found on the project's website.
