Student Vaccine Clinic Wednesday At Montgomery Blair High School

SILVER SPRING, MD — Students can receive their first vaccine dose at a clinic at Montgomery Blair High School on Wednesday, June 9, from noon to 7 p.m. All students ages 12 and older in the district are welcome. Students can register online in advance — appointments are 15 minutes apart throughout the day — or walk up to the clinic. It's being run by the county's Department of Health and Human Services, and the county has said it will accept walk-ins at its sites. The vaccine being administered at the Montgomery Blair clinic is Pfizer, which is approved for people under 18. The county keeps a running list of clinics open each day, and what ages can be vaccinated there. MCPS is planning to reopen in-person full time in the falls and all students will be expected to attend in-person, according to a letter from the district in May. Students in the district could choose to return to in-person learning in March this year, after a year of remote learning. The district has encouraged parents to get their children vaccinated.
