Compensation: Probation starts $14-15 per hour. Pays $16-20 per hour after probation and upon review. Part-time: Monday to Thursday. 3-4 days a week. 12-16 hours a week. 4-6 hours per day with opportunity for more hours. Will set up a regular schedule upon hiring. The job: Product inspection, modification and labeling of lighting fixtures for export. Packing for air and sea export overseas. An ideal candidate will: - Have experience in assembly/product inspection work or something associated like electrical/mechanical/technical background. - Have good aptitude and be experienced in using common small tools such as screwdrivers, socket sets, heat guns, etc. Simple general household experience with electrical light fittings a plus (wall sconces, pendants and chandeliers). Our work is specialized and we will train. - Be neat and well organized, able to keep work station in proper order. Be willing to learn new tasks. - You MUST be meticulous and able to work without constant supervision. We will run a basic background check. - Have basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel for packing lists, etc. - Any logistics management experience is also a plus. You will be expected to help track and organize incoming and outgoing shipments using basic software, like Excel. - A willingness to work flexible hours when necessary to meet deadlines will be appreciated. If you have another job, we can likely work with that schedule. - Be willing to participate in other associated duties as necessary. - For a capable employee, we will promote quickly. This is a stable, part-time position in a drug-free environment. You must have reliable transportation to get to the office/warehouse in Live Oak and live locally.
