Looking for like minded musicians who can remember southern rock from their youth, or blues, or just about anything in the 60's - 80's and want to play once a month or even more if it turns out to be theraputic. Be great to build a roster of folks who can drop in and out based on schedules. I play guitar (>50 yrs) and sing a little, have done the semi pro thing - meaning I got paid to play - but don't want to play bars until all hours or for that matter lug stuff around to dives and not make gas money. I think most newer music has to rely on over processing to make it sound little more than crap. I like bands that understand singing and "feel" and improvisation. My tastes run from Beatles to Allmans to Skynrd to ZZ to Butterfield to Doobies to the Dead to Eagles to Earth Wind and Fire to Steely Dan to CSNY to Huey to Feat to Miles and many more. I like to improvise and look at the song being played as a foundation for expression rather than 'needle on the record' reproduction.
