Description

EAST HAVEN, CT —On streets in Momauguin, cryptic stenciled messages had some scratching their heads. What is this? East Haven police explained in a Facebook post. "By now, you may have seen these stenciled notices popping up in Momauguin. CBYD stands for Call Before You Dig. These signs are popping up on your streets because permit parking signs will be installed in or around these areas. Prior to installing these signs, we have to make sure there are no utility hazards underground. Please bear with us while we work through this process. As always, thank you all so much." Some residents are thankful for the explainer. Others are complaining. What's your take?
