POINT PLEASANT – More than 7,000 are without power in Point Pleasant Boro and Point Pleasant Beach on Wednesday. Jersey Central Power and Light reported that 3,919 were without power in Point Pleasant Beach and 3,474 were without power in Point Pleasant Boro. JCP&L said it was working to restore the power after storms blew through New Jersey and knocked out power to more than 15,000 people. The power company said it hoped to have power restored by midnight. This is a developing story. Patch will have more information as it comes in.
