Job Summary Sorts and scans books to assist the E-Commerce department. Warehouse Production Great Team! Essential Functions: Effectively perform daily sorting, scanning, and/or listing of ISBN and non-ISBN books, as needed. Responsible for grading the condition of books according to industry standards. Collect book orders from warehouse, as needed. Prepare shipping labels / package items sold, as needed. Maintain a smooth flow of incoming and outgoing book product. Maintain a clean and orderly processing area. Follow all Loss Prevention guidelines and measures. Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; report any potential hazards or accidents. If applicable: Consistent and safe execution of duties associated with electric pallet jack and stacker operation when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards.* Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: Knowledge of Ecommerce book processes is preferred. Specific Skills/Knowledge/Licenses: Able to read, write, and speak English clearly and fluently. Excellent computer and Internet skills. * Electric pallet jack and stacker certification optional, must meet eligibility requirements. Essential Physical Abilities: Standing for long periods of time. Lifting and carrying 35-50 pounds; developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers. Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders. Able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Essential Mental/Sensory Abilities: Organizing, sorting, categorizing, counting, adding, subtracting Interpreting data Problem Solving Internal/external customer service Written and verbal communication skills Completing written orders Working Conditions: Warehouse environment, moderate noise level, exposure to dust.
