EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — The seventh annual Rhode Island Folk Festival will return to Rose Larisa Park in East Providence this year, giving residents and visitors and opportunity to hear some of the finest folk, acoustic and Americana singer-songwriter acts in the state.
The music festival will take place on August 29 from 12 to 6 p.m. and is free for all to attend. The event features three stages of live performances, including a new stage for emerging singer-songwriters, as well as water views, food trucks, and room for lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics.
Formerly known as the Providence Folk Festival, the Rhode Island Folk Festival has moved from the National Memorial Park in Providence to Riverside, East Providence. It is a project of Hear in Rhode Island, a 501(c)(3) organization, and produced by Rhode Island musician John Fuzek.
