Lot Construction Prompts Closures At D228 Schools

OAK FOREST, IL — Construction in Oak Forest High School's parking lot will take place from now through Aug. 1. The parking lot will be closed while the construction is underway, according to Bremen High School District 228. The construction is aimed to revamp the parking lot. Additional parking will be available along 151st Street and Long Avenue. The City of Oak Forest made the announcement at the May 25 City Council meeting. At the meeting, it was announced that the school will have a variety of machinery on site, which is why the lot will be closed to the public. D228 added that Tinley Park High School will also have similar construction going on in the parking lot of the school. Due to the parking lot construction, the school will have grass parking and some additional parking at nearby Panduit available, according to the district. Stay Patched In!
