Baby, Adult Rescued From Burning Home In Bermuda Dunes

BERMUDA DUNES, CA — An adult and an infant were rescued from a burning home in Bermuda Dunes Wednesday morning. Firefighters responded at 1:25 a.m. to the 79400 block of Avenue 42 and found light smoke coming from a home, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. Crews went inside the home and rescued the adult while the infant was safely dropped from a second floor window to Riverside County sheriff's deputies. Both were being evaluated by medics, the department said. The fire was contained at 1:48 a.m. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
