Description

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for the Italian Village Pizza-Shake Shack on Old Clairton Road in Pleasant Hills for numerous health violations. A recent inspection found moldy Caesar and Greek dressing in the walk-in cooler with an expiration date from 2018. Moldy cardboard was found lining the shelves in the walk-in cooler. An employee was observed preparing a ready-to-eat steak hoagie with her bare hands; no handwashing was observed during the entire inspection. Temperatures in the food prep cooler were too high to safely store the food inside. Ready-to-eat foods were not labeled with discard dates. The pizzeria remains open. See the entire report here.
