Description
The Carpenter will collaborate with the company Superintendents, Project Managers, other Field
Staff, and Executive Staff to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.
Job duties will be as follows:
• Work with company Superintendents to assist on all jobs as necessary
• Manage jobsite safety
• Assist superintendent in managing on-site laborers.
• Maintain clean and organized jobsites
• Fill out your own time card on a daily basis to insure accuracy in coding. This activity is to be coordinated with the on-site superintendent.
• Show up to jobsite on time. If you are not on time, communicate with on-site superintendent when you will arrive.
• Coordinate day to day jobsite requirements. It is your responsibility to know what the day to day work will require for proper attire and tools.
• Coordinate job site location. It is your responsibility to know which job site you are working on every day.
• Self-perform all carpentry activities such as selective demo, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, framing, door installation, etc.
• Occasionally assist the superintendent with meeting and coordinating sub-contractors.
• Occasionally assist the superintendent with meeting and coordinating inspections.
Experience:
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction industry as a carpenter or tradeseman.
• Knowledge of principles for building construction; theory, principles, and practices of engineering and architecture related to design and construction.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of tools and woodworking.
• Knowledge of framing techniques and methods.
• Knowledge of all applicable local and international codes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
