PHILADELPHIA — A man has been charged in connection with the robbery and shooting death of a Dunkin' manager in Philadelphia, according to police and reports.
Keith Gibson, 39, was taken into custody Tuesday morning by Wilimington, Delaware Police.
Gibson is suspected of shooting and killing 41-year-old Christine Lugo as she opened the Dunkin' store she managed in Philadelphia at about 5:23 a.m. Saturday.
A man, allegedly Gibson, came up to Lugo as she was opening the store and forced her inside at gunpoint, Philadelphia Police said.
After forcing Lugo to give him money from the office, he shot her in the head and left the area, police said.
Wilmington Police said Gibson was wearing a ballistic vest and had a loaded firearm as well as ammunition, a knife, and narcotics when he was taken into custody for an alleged armed robbery of a Rite Aid.
Action News reports Gibson is also a suspect in the murder of a cell phone store worker in Delaware and NBC10 reports he's suspected of killing his own mother.
Gibson is being held in a Delaware jail on $305,000 cash-only bail.
