What is with all you people that ask for videos? I understand everything seems to be hi-tech these days but, all of you are just a bunch of local " wannabees" looking for bands, or band members. Most all of you don't even have videos yourselves. If someone asks for videos, they need to be prepared to produce one themselves. I would like to know what I'm getting into also. A band name, or even a song list. Something ahead of time to show ME that you actually exist. Start-ups or single individuals, looking for single individuals, and asking for a video, is to me, just plain ridiculous, and a sign of pure laziness. If you rely on "CRAIGSLIST" to find bandmates, and think you are going to "rock stardom", take your head out of you egotistical ass, and keep practicing. I, DO have videos, and they cost me a lot of money to professionally produce. I won't waste my videos for some $100 a night bar band. I have never needed a video to get an audition. I go there. I meet people. I discuss future band goals, etc. Personalities are also important in successful bands. I have never NOT received the position I was auditioning for, unless, I myself, turned it down. You may not know this, but, their is a lot of good talent out there. Limiting the chance to be heard, because you require a pre-audition video, when not having one yourself, has "waste of time band" written all over it.
