VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Three people were evacuated from their home after it caught fire following a lightning strike Monday night. According to WIAT-TV, the lightning strike happened at a home on Crossgate Place in Vestavia Hills. A neighbor is said to have notified first responders of the fire. Fortunately, no one inside the house was injured, the TV station reported.
