BIRMINGHAM, AL — A female pedestrian died Wednesday afternoon after a vehicle struck her on a Birmingham highway, multiple news outlets reported. Birmingham Fire and Rescue told WVTM-TV that the woman was hit in the 500 block of Lakeshore Parkway around 11:30 a.m. She was taken to UAB Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:30 p.m., according to AL.com. It's not clear how the collision occurred or if anyone has been charged. The Birmingham Police Department is currently investigating.
