One Way Wireless Construction, headquartered in Shakopee, MN is seeking to hire those interested in or skilled in the Cell Tower Construction Industry. We currently are hiring for local and travel positions. As a Tower Technician, you will help with the construction, installation, and maintenance of communication towers and support structures. If you have previous construction experience of any kind, a strong work ethic, and believe in working proficiently and safely - WE WANT TO TALK TO YOU! What It Takes To Become a Certified Tower Climber HEIGHT FRIENDLY: The average telecom tower can be 300-600 feet tall. You must be able to think and function when you're at extreme heights to get the job done safely. LOVE OF THE OUTDOORS: Our Tower Technician work outside, year-round. While we don’t climb the towers in unsafe conditions, we do often work in the rain, snow, high & low temperatures. FLEXIBILITY: Tower technicians often work irregular hours, including nights. For our travel positions, our crews typically travel out on a Monday and come back on a Friday. PHYSICAL STRENGTH & ENDURANCE: You need to be strong enough to climb towers, where you may work for hours at a time. You may lug heavy equipment (35 to 70 lbs.) with you on the way up. You're on your feet for long periods of time. Standing, bending and crouching are the positions of a tower technician. FOCUS ON THE DETAILS: Safety is critical to a tower climber and those around him or her, so attention to detail is essential in assuring the proper use of safety equipment. There is only ONE Way to install or repair an antenna 200 feet off the ground, and that is correctly and safely the first time up. It's a dangerous job if you don't abide by all safety regulations. VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE & ABILITY TO PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL AND SUBSTANCE TEST IS REQUIRED.
