POSITION: Custodian REPORTING TO: Plant Manager Due to tremendous growth throughout the company, we are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team in Gardena, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. • Gather and empty trash to entire facility. • Service, clean, and supply restrooms. • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. • Move product as needed to facilitate production processes. • Keep production area & facilities clean and neat. • Perform basic routine up, keep on facilities. • Responsible for communicating with other departments to assist with production. • Associate will be crossed trained in multiple areas to help as needed in both Maintenance and Production. • Restrooms and breakrooms are required to be cleaned prior to and after each break period. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Basic reading, writing, and math skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. • Must be comfortable working around chemicals and other cleaning products. • Must have basic maintenance skills. • Must be comfortable working independently. • Must be self-motivated, able to complete a task to the best of their ability under little or no supervision. • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 30 pounds. Machinery and tool operation require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. • Background and drug checks will be conducted.
