Seeking Maintenance Technician - Handyman Full-Time

Job Description: Property Management Company looking to hire a reliable maintenance technician to help with day-to-day operations in several condominium complexes managed in the Beaverton area and occasionally other properties that vacate around the Portland Metro area. JOB SUMMARY: Maintains efficient operations of buildings, grounds, and rentals in a supportive role. Must be self-motivated and be able to work alone much of the time. We need someone 40 hours per week and are looking to fill this position immediately. Essential duties include but are not limited to: • Minor Plumbing: includes the repair, replacement, or installation of toilet guts, faucets, garbage disposals, etc. • Drywall repair: includes filling and texture of small holes commonly performed in vacant units. • Painting: includes minor touch-ups following damage repair and new paint applied to vacant units. • Groundskeeping: includes replacing light bulbs, sweeping or raking leaves, installation of bark or other ground covering, tree trimming, gutter cleaning, and maintenance. Checking and monitoring pool/spa chemicals (very easy to learn). • Cleaning/housekeeping: includes maintaining a tidy appearance in shared community locations. Checking for garbage overflow and management from dumpster and recycle areas. • Customer service: includes professional, prompt and courteous correspondence with owners/renters when scheduling and providing maintenance services, and with contracted vendors that provide additional facility services. • Time management: includes maintaining an organized scheduling system to complete all maintenance requests in a timely manner. Having your own tools is a plus, but can be provided when necessary. Experience preferred but not necessary in all categories listed above. Must have a current Driver's License, valid auto insurance, and your own transportation to and from work. A company vehicle may be provided based on experience. Must be able to pass a background/drug check. Starting pay $17-$22 an hour depending on the level of skills. Benefits not included at this time.
