This is not a job for everyone, but if you are not squeamish, love working with dogs, enjoy being outdoors and are an independent worker, this job is for you! If you're looking for a crappy job - we can deliver! If you can do the Doo then we'll provide the poo! (Please forgive the puns but humor is not in short supply in this business...) This can be a good job for someone who prefers interacting with small groups or one on one - most interaction will be with your supervisor and the owners via text & phone and an occasional home owner - they like to come chat with us sometimes. We cleanup, and remove dog waste from residential yards and apartment communities across Clark County. Our Business Stinks... but it's "Picking Up"! We are a family owned company and pride ourselves in honesty and providing our clients with the best service possible. The Tail's End is looking for dependable Waste Removal Technicians (Pooper Scoopers) who have the availability to work daytime hours, Monday through Friday. You will have weekends off! Additionally you can plan to have the following holidays off, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The typical work day is right around 6 hours sometimes a little longer or a little shorter - depending on the route. Be finished early enough to take evening classes, take kids to sports practice, etc. Typical work day you start by 9am and finish by 4pm. All work must be done during daylight hours. We won't babysit you but do expect you to be honest, responsible, fast, intelligent, reliable, friendly, dependable, drug-free (including marijuana), not afraid of large dogs or barking dogs, clean and very hard working. THIS IS A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB. You can earn $18.00+ an hour on average plus bonus for a job well done. We pay based on the number of stops you make which averages out to about $18.00/hr. We work all year round in rain, wind, heat, cold, etc. However, if you want an easy going job where you can listen to music and enjoy a dog or two then this may be the right job for you. Our job requirements are as follows: - a valid drivers license - Employment will be dependent on a satisfactory driving record. - reliable transportation - preferably a small pick up truck or small SUV/cross over. (However, most vehicles will do. We worked our business for several years from a small hatchback. - We reimburse for gas. You will be using your own vehicle. - Smart phone with data and GPS abilities - good vision, with or without glasses -Able to traverse uneven ground including up and down hills, over rocks, grass, mud and dirt use stairs, etc. - be able to read and write English - use and follow directions on a GPS - be able to be moving through yard a lot -able to manipulate a hoe and large scoop (dust pan with a handle) -perform repetitive movements -able to lift 5 lbs and 35 lbs. and able dispose of it into a dumpster -love dogs ( You can NOT have a fear of dogs. You will encounter large and barking dogs - they can sense fear.) -enjoy working outdoors, even in winter months and poor weather conditions. -good driving record (minor infractions will be considered) -Drug free - preemployment drug test may be required.
