Plaza College is currently seeking to hire an Assistant to the Dean of Student Services. This position will be an intricate team member in lending support to the many strategic initiatives of the college and specifically in the Office of Student Services (attendance, attrition, retention, etc.) The role will assist the Student Services department (logistically and administratively) as needed. This mid-level position requires an experienced and enthusiastic individual who is looking for the potential to have rapid professional development. The role is varied and exciting as it involves many different facets of college operations (from outreach for the department Department, attending meetings, taking notes for those meetings, assisting with special events (graduation, etc.). Candidate MUST be a self-starter, with a capacity for problem-solving and conceptualizing innovative solutions! Additionally, individual MUST be able to work autonomously towards completion of both short and long term objectives. Some Qualifications for this position include: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Higher Ed, Psychology, related (Master's degree a plus!) • One to three years of administrative support, with a proven track record of success • Communicates with the student body to provide clear consumer information • Understands the role of utilizing technology to streamline and enhance communications • Maintains extreme attention to detail • Results oriented, excellent customer service, solid work ethic and an enthusiastic attitude • Ability to develop collegial relationships with students, family members, faculty, administrators, staff and the college community overall • Ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast paced environment; • Projects as delegated by various offices • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
