Job Description ESCFederal is looking for a floor technician to clean floors and carpeted areas. This job involves identifying damage or areas in need of repairs, organizing supplies and equipment, and receiving parts from orders and assembling equipment for clients. This job is well suited to people who can work competently under minimal supervision, who have the strength and stamina to lift heavy equipment and spend long hours on their feet, and who can follow instructions clearly and work to a set schedule. Maintain Floors and Carpets The primary duty floor technicians carry out is maintaining the cleanliness of the floors and carpets. This includes vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing floors to remove any stains and keep them in a hygienic state. If any areas are in need of repair or replacement, they let the facility manager know. Assist with Cleaning Tasks Floor technicians assist with the manual labor of cleaning and other tasks. Organize Equipment and Supplies Floor technicians ensure that inventories are logged and that supplies and equipment stay fully stocked for future cleaning tasks. When stock runs low, they may be responsible for reordering supplies or notifying a supervisor so that more products or items can be ordered. Follow Safety Guidelines When carrying out cleaning tasks, floor technicians place signs nearby to alert others that the floors may be wet or slippery. They also update cleaning schedules and ensure that all solvents and chemical cleaners are used according to safety regulations and guidelines. Assemble Parts and Engines to Specifications Floor technicians use customers’ specifications to assemble and fabricate parts and engines for cleaning equipment, notifying of any faults that occur. Floor Technician Skills and Qualifications Floor technicians can work independently and have the strength and stamina to carry and operate heavy cleaning equipment. Must be bilingual (english/spanish) Listening skills – strong active listening skills help floor technicians follow instructions clearly and understand what is required of them before beginning a task Attention to detail – floor technicians ensure that the area they’re managing is cleaned thoroughly, so attention to detail is a key aspect of the role Time management – this job requires the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and to set schedules, so applicants need good time management skills Physical stamina – floor technicians spend most of their workday on their feet, operating cleaning equipment and listing supplies, so good physical strength and stamina is a must Mechanical skills – this job involves using floor cleaning equipment and tools, so applicants must be savvy with mechanical equipment and know how to fix a breakdown if one occurs Schedule: Saturday-Wednesday 10p to 6:30am ***For immediate consideration call 901-206-8613*** Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 per hour
