JOB OVERVIEW We are looking to hire a new “instrument picker”. This is the teammate who selects the instruments for the orders. It's an important job as it is the first baton pass in the process of customizing instruments to our customers' needs. This teammate has a keen eye for blemishes, following simple processes and likes to work independently. Over the course of a year they will allocate thousands of different instruments (violins, violas, cellos & basses) with hundreds of different beautiful styles and all of this can be easily learned within a week or two and refined over time. > Are you a musician who has been dreaming of working full time in the music industry? > Have you been a professional musician at night that is looking for the stability of a day job? > Are you a non musician who is simply looking for a fun job and a great atmosphere? We might be a great fit for you! We’re looking for a self-starter who can manage their time effectively. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will involve very little direct supervision. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES This is a full time permanent position working 8:30AM-5PM, Monday through Friday. > You get to work with beautiful instruments all day every day! You can listen to your own music or chat as you help thousands of students across the country leap towards a successful music journey! > The "puller" as we call them sometimes chooses the specific instruments that will then go to the "setup" table where the instruments are assembled with components. > This requires high attention to detail and also an ability to work with 40lb boxes a few times a day, as well as cellos & basses, requiring up & down physical work. > Most of the process can be learned within a day and the skill improves over time, especially with the variety of instruments that we sell. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPENSATION > You must be 18 years or older > You must have a high school diploma or equivalent > The starting rate of pay for this position is $15.00 per hour, with the possibility of higher compensation based on experience. > This comes with an attractive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO after first year, etc). The potential for upward mobility within the company is strong as we are fairly young, but growing rapidly. Paid holidays and vacation are available and increase with seniority.
