Deckhand and/or Cook Wanted For busy private fishing yacht located in Newport Beach. Deckhand will assist in most matters of vessel operation including standing watch, assisting guests, cleaning fish, maintaining interior and exterior of vessel, assisting with machinery maintenance and repair, rigging tackle, managing cockpit and more. At least, basic boating and fishing skills required. Preference given to applicants with professional deckhand experience. Cook will be responsible for preparing 3 meals per day for 6 guests and 3 crewmembers while underway. Trips range from one to three days in duration. Dockside duties include assisting with meal planning and preparation, producing shopping lists, assist with shopping. Restaurant kitchen/waiting experience a plus. When not running trips, the cook is expected to assist with vessel maintenance including sanding, painting, cleaning, and more Candidates for either position must be team players, able to leave their cell phone in vehicle during work, pass a background check, and pass a drug test. Also must have dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and have a valid passport (or the ability to obtain a valid passport.) Only candidates submitting a RESUME will be considered.
