Interior Decorating Assistant/ Handyperson

Looking to hire a reliable, able-bodied assistant to help with decorating and revamping several cabins in Townsend. This is a part-time temporary gig, working about 3-4 days a week for a month. These cabins have been structurally repaired and partially decorated, and now must be finished out. Applicant will be working on-site side by side with the lead decorator. The diverse job tasks include: Furniture stripping, sanding, refinishing, painting, repair, and creative alteration Upholstery steam cleaning Moving furniture and accessories between locations and arrangement/placement Assembling new furniture Assembling and installing curtains, blinds, and artwork Cleaning of construction debris/ general cleaning Lighting and accessories repair, cleaning, and placement Other related tasks as needed This is a rugged, multi-faceted job, utilizing a number of various skills over a wide range of disciplines. Handyperson skills are helpful but not required: We can train. Applicant must be able to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds, often up stairways. Must have reliable transportation and cell phone. The job is 24 to 32 hours per week, approximately 10am to 6pm 3-4 days a week. Wage is $12 per hour, with pay advancement commensurate with job performance.
