Milwaukee's Finest Scholarship Foundation honors 2021 Award Recipients at Milwaukee City Hall Milwaukee's Finest Scholarship Foundation honors 2021 Award Recipients More than 150 students applied for scholarship funding throughout Milwaukee CountyMILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee’s Finest Scholarship Foundation (MFSF) today announced the recipients of the 2021 Scholarship Awards. In partnership with city officials, local businesses, organizations, and community members, MFSF will award 10 local high school seniors with the Milwaukee’s Finest Scholarship ranging up to $2,000 each. More than 150 students applied for funding this year, making Milwaukee’s Finest one of the most competitive scholarship opportunities in the county. “This year was especially challenging for students who had to study remotely due to the pandemic while focusing on the transition to college. I am excited to have the opportunity to continue providing our students with financial resources that will help them succeed in higher education,” said Jerel Ballard, Founder, and President of MFSF. “Each of these students exhibited phenomenal leadership traits that prove beyond a doubt they will make Milwaukee proud. As a county, we should be full of pride as we watch these students enter their professional careers.” Student applications were scored and reviewed by a Scholarship Review Panel consisting of 15 local parents, educators, college students, and city officials. Recipients will be honored during the Annual Scholarship Awards at Milwaukee City Hall on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. The event will be free and open to the public.
