Join us in saying "Welcome" to our new Executive Director at our founders home, Dr. Wayne Wood. Drinks and small plates will be available. Dear Friends, Neighbors and Advocates for RAP, We invite you to join us in welcoming Shannon Blankinship to Riverside Avondale Preservation as our new Executive Director. This casual social gathering will be hosted at our founders home, Dr. Wayne Wood. Thank you to Wayne and Lana for sharing your home for this event. Shannon comes to us from St. Johns Riverkeeper where she served for nearly a decade, most recently as their Advocacy Director. Shannon received her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2012 and has worked for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and formerly the Delaware Riverkeeper. She brings a passion for advocacy, great experience in managing large events, is quick to build relationships, has experience working with our organization, co-hosting a number of events with RAP and is frequent Saturday supporter of RAM. https://riversideavondale.org/shannon-blankinship-selected-as-new-executive-director/ This Friday evening gathering will also give you the opportunity to say thank you to our outgoing E-D, Warren Jones. Warren has contributed a great deal to our organization, especially navigating through a difficult period in 2020. While Warren his wife Faith will be hitting the road with their new RV, both will remain dedicated RAP advocates and will continue as enthusiastic volunteers for our organization.
