Carter Park The Florida Panthers organization proudly presents the Community Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Joseph C. Carter Park from 12 pm to 5 pm. This fun-filled family day, also known as Juneteenth, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans through educational resources and entertainment for all ages. The Juneteenth Celebrations serves as the Florida Panthers Foundation’s ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity and social change while embracing the cultural richness of South Florida. This celebration of freedom is one of the Foundation’s many investments into Broward County, promoting education and providing resources to support underprivileged children, influencing them to become successful and productive citizens of our community. Join community members, elected officials, local entertainers and other stakeholders for this special cultural and educational celebration highlighting the legacy of African American culture while promoting of racial equity in the Black community. About the Florida Panthers Foundation: The Florida Panthers Foundation serves as the team's main charitable beneficiary. Re-introduced in the middle of the 2013-14 season under the ownership of Mr. Vincent Viola and Mr. Doug Cifu, the vision of the Florida Panthers Foundation is to make a positive philanthropic impact on the South Florida community and beyond.
