BPM Supporters, The Brothers of BPM cordially invite you to our 28th Annual Rays of Hope Awards and Scholarship Event.  The 2018 Rays of Hope Event will be on June 15th at 6pm at: Baltimore City Hall. Nearly 100 people come together every June to honor the winners of Black Professional Men Inc.'s Rays of Hope Awards and Scholarships. The Rays of Hope Awards are given to outstanding African-American men who have excelled in their professions, and who serve as role models to younger Black men and boys. Awards are given in the categories of education, government, medicine, business, religion, and community and charitable services. Past winners include Congressman Elijah Cummings, Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, Ill, President of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Tuskegee Airmen Dr. Cyril Byron. The Rays of Hope Event is a time for Black Professional Men, Inc. to showcase its mentoring program, and to give scholarships to deserving Black male students from the Baltimore metropolitan area. In the past twenty-three years, Black Professional Men Inc. has awarded scholarships to more than 200 deserving African American male high school graduates. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Rays of Hope Breakfast. In honor of this momentous occasion, our goal is to award $1000 in scholarships, bringing our total scholarship giving over the past 21 years over $275,000. In order to achieve this goal, and to celebrate twenty-five years of the event, we have planned a spectacular weekend of fun, informative, and inspiring events.  Individual tickets are $60  and there are numerous advertising and sponsorship options available. All proceeds are used to help send these young men to college, mentor them throughout, and support their transition after graduation to starting their careers. Please support BPM and purchase your ticket here via the payment button on this page.  Remember to list the name of the BPM Member that referred you!  If you have any questions, please contact us via email at [email protected] or by phone at 443-550-1BPM (443-550-1276).  Thank you!
