Summer is here...off to the beach we go! Join us for a fun night of painting, sipping wine and enjoying time with friends... THE BLUE BICYCLEGather your pals and join us for a fun night of painting! Cibeline, The Art Gallery is super excited to host our first Paint Night; a time to reach into your creative spirit, meet new people and have some fun. And what better place than in a Gallery, in the historical art community of SoWa Art & Design District. Local artist Holly Connors has painted a beautiful summer inspired painting especially for our Paint Night. We had two requests; make it summery and put a bicycle in the painting, she nailed it! No matter your level of painting ability, Holly will walk us through step by step... "Painting is easy when you don't know how, but very difficult when you do." Edgar Degas Our evening check-in 6:00-6:30 pm w/ time to unwind, wander the Gallery and enjoy some wine and cheese, painting begins at 7:00 pm. We can't wait to see you, and join in the fun! The exhibit features the acclaimed 'Bicycle' series by French Algerian Artist Jean Sariano, father of Cibeline Sariano - our Gallery's owner and namesake. Visitors of "The Cycle of the Bicycle" will wander through an interactive exhibit of a masterfully deconstructed abstract bicycle and motorcycle collection. We're looking forward to our audience experiencing the creative process of this dynamic work. From the artist inspiration to finished painting, and even try their hand at creating an original collaborative piece. Our Paint Night Artist and Guide: Holly Connors has been painting with acrylics and creating painted art since 1990, but in early 2018 she began experimenting with mixed media. She has since come to believe that mixed media techniques gives each painted piece more layers, more texture, and more for the brain to chew on. It has quickly become her signature style and the type of art her clients request most.
